Our Approach to Chiropractic Care
It surprises many people to find out that chiropractic isn’t about your neck and back. It’s all about your nervous system. Three forms of stress can affect your nervous system: thoughts, trauma and toxins, also known as emotional, physical and chemical stress.
Your nervous system should have the ability to adapt to these stressors. When it can’t, however, there will be a compensation pattern in your body. That’s where the term “subluxation” comes in. It means a misalignment in the spine. When this occurs, it causes interference in your nervous system, making it unable to communicate with other areas of the body.
Giving Your Nervous System a Boost
As a chiropractor, Dr. Jill reduces subluxation so that your nervous system is no longer stressed. Your body will then have the ability to adapt to its environment. When your nervous system works at its full potential, you can experience incredible benefits such as greater immunity, better sleep, proper digestion and an improved quality of life.

Our Gentle Techniques
Dr. Jill may use her hands or an instrument to adjust you. We’ll tailor what we do to the age and condition of each individual, guided by the scans taken with our INSiGHT™ technology. Below, you can read more about the techniques she may use in your care.
This handheld instrument delivers a specific pressure to the vertebra that needs to be adjusted. With a quick thrust, the spring-loaded instrument is appropriate for all parts of your body, including your extremities.
If you’ve been to a chiropractor before, you’ve probably experienced this method. Dr. Jill applies a manual thrust with her hands to free a joint that has been stuck. You might hear a noise, which is gas leaving the joint and nothing to be concerned about.
A specialized table is used with a piece built in that can elevate the spine and drop down to make a precise adjustment. With this method, we can correct a subluxation while keeping your spine in a completely neutral position.
With this technique, our goal is to reduce subluxation in the sacrum and any dysfunction in the sacroiliac joint. By optimizing your pelvis and the surrounding structures like ligaments and psoas muscles, we can assist in improving your pregnancy. It gives your baby the best possible chance to get in the proper position. Though it doesn’t turn breech babies, by looking at the mechanics and space of the pelvis, your baby may turn head-down on their own.
